As program coordinator for the Fire Service Management (FSM) Program I would like to welcome you to our website. The goal of our program is to provide you the opportunity to enhance your career through continued higher education. This program is designed for those individuals who already possess an Associate's degree with a background in the fire service. The FSM program IS NOT taught on campus but rather through our Off-Campus Academic Programs (OCAP).

The faculty and staff of OCAP are dedicated to meeting the educational needs of the fire professional. Southern Illinois University Carbondale is dedicated to meeting both the academic and technical needs of the fire service.

The mission of the Fire Service Management Program is to provide you with highly trained and qualified instructors with various fields of study in the FSM program. We are committed to the enhancement and advancement of fire service professionals through higher education. The FSM program is an accredited IFSAC program and a long time participant in the Federal Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) program.
